Interpretation

Brigitte can provide the following interpreting services, depending on your requirements:

Onsite consecutive interpreting

Onsite consecutive interpreting is the most frequent type of interpreting service required for small settings. The interpreter waits for the speaker to finish their sentence or paragraph to translate and communicate to one or several listeners the content of the speech or conversation.

Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting is a more specialised service where the interpreter translates the speaker’s words for the listener(s) while the speaker is still talking, with only a few seconds lag time. This works well for larger and/or more fast-paced events, such as conferences or large meetings, where there are many listeners and speakers and information needs to be passed on as quickly as possible to facilitate discussions.

Interpreting equipment (headsets, microphones and sometimes booths) is necessary during a simultaneous interpreting which would need to be provided.

Telephone or video call interpreting

If you need to make a telephone or video call that requires your full comprehension for the matter at hand, I can assist you in attending the conference call for interpreting.
